3. SSL certificate had expired Date

Before SSL certificate expires, you will need to purchase a new SSL certificate with a new expiration date. We recommend that you purchase a new SSL certificate at least one week prior to the expiration of your current SSL certificate to avoid unforeseen circumstances.

Shall I get shared SSL and what will the URL to my secure pages look like?

Shared certificates are provided free on all of our shared hosting plans. This allows you to enjoy the encryption that SSL provides without purchasing your own SSL Certificate. However, because it is a shared certificate, it is not tied specifically to your domain name, which means that you shared SSL URL will look like the following: httpss://secure###.hostnow247.com/username where ‘##’ is a number generated by the server you are on, and ‘username’ is the username you are assigned at account setup.

If you attempt to use your own domain name with a shared certificate, you will receive warnings in your web browser that your domain name does not match the domain name indicated on the certificate.

Shared certificates are not appropriate if your website is used for e-commerce as information like payment is transmitted un-secure. Shared Certificate are only appropriate when you desire a secure connection to your server, but do not intend for it to be used by the general public.
